T-Shirt Tuesday: Support animal shelters!

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

funny pictures of cats with captions

These two cuties bring up an important aspect of pet adoption: whenever possible, shelters love the chance at keeping bonded pairs together. It’s hard finding someone who’s willing to take two animals home at once, but it’s 100x better for their morale than being adopted separately. If you have it in your heart (and the space in your house), please consider taking home two furbabies that will forever thank you for keeping them together. In light of this PSA, I present two shirts from The Animal Rescue Site:

The Animal Rescue Site donates food and care to shelter animals across the U.S. Visitors click to donate and sponsors pay the tab. Buying from The Animal Rescue Site store donates even more food for animals in need, so it’s money well-spent.

Oh yeah, and…

T-Shirt Thursday: Something about an oil spill

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Yeah, I know I’m two days late. No, T-Shirt Thursday won’t become a regular feature. I just stumbled across these shirts and figured it was too topical to wait.

T-Shirt Tuesday: Ironing out the irony

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

This beats the pants off of Alanis Morissette’s version of irony ’cause it actually kind of ironic…dontcha think? Yeah, I know I’m lame. I’ll go back to hiding in my corner now.

Designers Drew and Natalie Dee make tons of other funny shirts, so give them a look and buy something.

T-Shirt Tuesday: A must-have for all fans of The Office

Tuesday, April 27th, 2010

I love The Office for the same reason why millions of other people love the show: I’ve worked in an office like that, with people just like that. Most offices are like that. We’ve all dealt with some version of a manager like Michael, an “OMG!” kind of girl like Kelly, and yes, even a Dwight. Even though I’ve never known a beet farmer in real life, I’ve definitely known some Dwights. In their honor, this shirt is this week’s T-Shirt Tuesday.

T-Shirt Tuesday: You Know, Those Things With Paper…

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

My generation is probably the last that will truly remember books as a physical object made of paper and not just as another file on our iPads. Maybe books are antiquated, maybe they’re not, but either way, you can stick it to today’s digitized kids and the rabid culture of social networks at the same time with this t-shirt. As wonderful as our high-def, touch-screen world is, let’s not forget the days where carrying schoolbooks meant hauling 50 pounds of paper in our backpacks, so that when we tell our grandkids our “back in my day” stories, it will sound like we really suffered in the latter half of the 20th century.
